“Do you know what I was smiling at? You wrote down that you were a writer by profession. It sounded to me like the loveliest euphemism I had ever heard. When was writing ever your profession? It's never been anything but your religion. Never.” - J.D Salinger
My world revolves around words.
Writing is what I do - pretty much all day, every day, as a profession, as a hobby and as a means of clearing my head.
After seven years of blogging, writing around 4 million words worth of blog posts, I decided to apply all I had learned and set up shop as a freelance writer. I now work with people who understand the power words have to engage, to communicate, to transform and to transfix. If that sounds like you, here’s what I offer:
Content marketing is one of the most powerful ways to promote a business. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses think it’s enough to pay a writer pennies for poorly written, badly researched posts full of grammatical errors. I’ve seen the type and you probably have too. They send out the message that they don’t care about providing value to their audience. In other cases, a lot of small businesses and startups want to use content marketing, but have a small team without a full time writer. Again, it’s painfully obvious to customers when posts have been hurriedly written by someone who’d rather be working on a different aspect of the business.
This is where I come in.
I’ve been blogging for over seven years and have written posts for dozens of sites, as well as my own. I know what it takes to engage and grow audiences through memorable posts that tell stories and keep people coming back for more. My work has been featured or published in many of the largest online publications, including Thought Catalog, The Huffington Post, Creatomic, Elle, The Daily Mail, Fashionista and others.
While long form content is my specialty, I also write short form posts that pack a lot of punch into a few words. It’s not unusual for my work to generate 100,000+ views and 1000+ shares (my personal record is 134k shares.) I’m a versatile writer and my work has spanned topics including philosophy, economics, fashion, real estate, psychology, literature and more.
As a ghostwriter, my work involves turning other people’s ideas into carefully crafted writing. Maybe you want to write a blog, but lack the time or writing skills to convey your message. Maybe you’ve recognized that your time is better spent on other elements of your business and need someone else to take over the content side. I aim to get inside your head and understand how you think, leading to writing that mimics the tone and style you'd like to convey.
People don’t buy products. They buy stories. A century ago, copywriters had it easy. To sell a product, they just needed to describe its features and benefits. If it met their needs, people brought it. Now, things are different. Plain description isn’t enough. Good copy cuts through the noise and tells a compelling story. Copy is an investment.
I write punchy, succient sales copy that helps spread the reach of brands, and incorporates strategic SEO techniques. No fluff. No sleazy SEO that will get your website blacklisted by Google. No waffling. Just the essence of your message.
While I’m predominantly a writer, I dabble in other things. I’ve shot photographs for the social media accounts of brands including Doc Martens, H&M, Kanken and La Riche. I also shot the cover image for a recent edition of Jeffrey Eugenides' The Virgin Suicides.
In 2017, I self-published two essay collections: Fragments (about minimalism and simple living) and Smart Reading (about getting the most out of books.)
I gave a recent TEDx talk on creativity and vulnerability.
I sometimes work on partnerships with brands to feature their products on this site or my other platforms (such as a recent collaboration with Bumpers.)

I’m currently based in Bournemouth, Dorset and regularly spend time in London and Tel Aviv.
I studied English Communication & Culture, Film Studies, Creative Writing and Photography at Brockenhurst College, earning A*AA in my final exams.
My continuing education has consisted of spending months staying in the countryside away from any distractions, doing nothing but write, from reading hundreds of books each year, and from paying attention to the advice of smarter, more experienced writers.
I love challenging projects and crazy time constraints. I’ve never missed a deadline yet so you can rely on getting the work you want, when you want it. I’m a meticulous researcher, with an intense focus on accuracy. Every piece of work I do receives the same passion and enthusiasm.
